For Men

Support built for men

Men are expected to carry everything and mention none of it. This page exists because the pressures men live with are real, rarely spoken about, and far more workable than they feel at 2am.

Is this you?

You are not the only one carrying this

Most men reading this page have never said any of the above out loud. That is not a character flaw. It is how men have been taught to manage: handle it yourself, don't be a burden, don't make it a thing.

The numbers say the same. In one survey of a thousand men, 40% had never spoken to anyone about how they were coping. Their reasons were not dramatic: "I've learnt to deal with it", "I don't want to be a burden", "I'm too embarrassed". Almost half of men do not talk openly with friends about their problems, and more than a quarter say they have no close friends at all. Nearly half would rather spend half an hour with a salesman than a counsellor.

When men do open up, two thirds turn to their partner before anyone else. Which leaves a quiet problem: when the relationship itself is what is hurting, the one person you would normally talk to is the one person you can't.

This is why so many men are the last to know. Nearly 70% of divorces are initiated by women, and by the time a partner says she is unhappy, she has usually been unhappy for years. Couples wait six years on average before seeking help, and it is rarely the man who books the appointment. The pattern is not that men don't care. It is that men wait, hold it together, and are then blindsided.

None of the struggles on this page make you broken, weak or unusual. They are some of the most common things men carry, and every one of them can be worked on with the right approach and the right guidance. Coaching gives you a private, structured space to do that work: no labels, no judgement, no sitting in feelings without a map. Every session has a direction, and you leave with something to do, not just something to think about.

The difference between the men who come through these things well and the men who don't is rarely strength. It is timing. Talk to someone before it becomes the thing you wish you'd talked about.

Why me?

Fair question. I am not going to pretend to be a man. What I bring is 25 years working alongside men in financial services in the UK and Singapore, a long international divorce of my own, and a coaching style that is direct, confidential and practical. Many men find it easier to talk to a woman who is completely outside their circle, has heard it all, and will not flinch. The free 15 minutes will tell you quickly whether that is true for you.
